Won The War

For nearly 3 years (it is our third anniversary in Nov.) I have been begging Zach to let me put a T.V. in our bedroom.  Every time I asked, he would immediately get agitated.  To be completely frank, Zach’s reasoning was a physical concern.  He worried that if we had a T.V. in our bedroom, we would watch it all night long and he wouldn’t “get any” in his exact words.  I told him that would NEVER happen, and he shouldn’t worry.

Too much information?  Maybe, but it is the truth.

A few weeks ago, I asked him again…just to be funny almost, because it grinds his gears so much.  I did make a compelling argument though, stating that Hunting Season was coming up and I would have a lot of lonely nights in our bed, alone, needing the comfort of SOMETHING!  I also brought up the fact that it is not safe for a female to be home alone downstairs watching the T.V.  The discussion ended quickly.

Two days ago Zach says, “Let’s go shopping for a T.V.” when I got home from work.  I was elated!  I told him that we could get something really small to go on our dresser, “non intrusive”.  I even told him I would use the money from my paycheck and buy it, so he didn’t feel like he had to front the bill.

Reality is, he lost the battle…but he won the war.  Turns out, he had this master plan brewing to put our current Family Room television up into our bedroom, and buy a brand new T.V. for downstairs.  Hmmmm.  Not only would this new T.V. be bigger, but have WiFi.  It all started to make sense, and I felt like such a fool.

Like my husband didn’t watch sports enough!  Now he’s going to be checking his Fantasy Football updates AT THE SAME TIME!

You won this one, Henderson!  Next time, I will outsmart you.

I laughed out loud reading this. If you ever need someone to keep you company during hunting season, don’t lose my numba! 🙂
